My Commitments to You:
You are entitled to explanations of investments and insurance at a pace that is comfortable for you.
I will not tell you what to do, but I will tell you what I think you should know, or think about.
I will not ask you to commit assets to a particular program until we are both satisfied that you have asked all the questions you need to, and understand it well enough to know it is right for you.
My commitment to "honor the sacrifices that built your wealth" includes being patient, resourceful and flexible in helping you make educated decisions.
Although the pace of our conversation may be brisk, I will not rush you.
For Couples: Open communication between you on financial issues can help you find a lasting, productive advisory relationship.
If one of you has less financial knowledge than the other, I can devote specific attention to that person, to help both of you make decisions together with confidence.
Good communication as a couple does not mean constant agreement. In fact, maintaining different perspectives can be good for your long-term financial well-being. I will consider each person in recommending actions that affect both and, if I can, I'll point out common ground.
The bottom line for me is feeling right. When there is good communication, I believe the energy in the room is positive, problems seem smaller, and the way forward is clearer. If I am meeting you for the first time or the 50th time, understand that this is my goal.
